Our approach

Five-Step AuDHD Assessment

It begins with a real conversation. Here is what to expect at each stage of the assessment process.

We do not rely on a public online multiple-choice questionnaire as the first step. Your experience is more complex than a checklist. The process begins with a conversation, followed by structured assessment tools completed privately as part of the clinical pathway.

Five-Step AuDHD Assessment

1
Free · 30 minutes · video

Complimentary AuDHD Discussion

A free 30-minute video discussion with a member of our clinical team. There is no commitment and no payment required. We learn about your history, current concerns, and goals, then decide together whether an integrated assessment or a single-condition pathway would serve you better.

2
Private preparation

Completion of AuDHD Assessment Tool and Optional Informant Tools

After registration, structured assessment tools are provided privately for you to complete in your own time. Optional informant tools may also be used where appropriate.

3
Clinical assessment

Diagnostic Interview

A focused diagnostic interview explores ADHD and autism experiences, sensory and executive-function patterns, masking history, and relevant developmental context.

4
Collaborative context

Support Interview

A support interview adds relevant context and helps the clinical team understand how your experiences appear across settings and over time.

5
Consultation and report

AuDHD Assessment Consultation Report

Your consultation and report bring the assessment findings together, explain how ADHD and autism interact in your life, and provide individualized recommendations.

Neuroaffirming by design

Care that takes your experience seriously.

Our approach is collaborative, transparent, and attentive to the ways people adapt, mask, and compensate over time.

Your language matters

We use identity-first or person-first language according to your preference and explain diagnostic terminology clearly.

Strengths and challenges

The assessment does not reduce you to deficits. It considers abilities, environments, supports, and areas of difficulty together.

One coordinated picture

ADHD and autism findings are not placed in separate silos. The report explains where traits reinforce, conflict with, or mask one another.

Women & gender-diverse adults

Built for people whose presentations are often missed.

Women, late-identified adults, and gender-diverse people are frequently overlooked when ADHD and autism are considered separately. High-masking and internalized presentations may not resemble older stereotypes.

80%

Some estimates suggest that up to 80% of autistic women may remain undiagnosed by age 18. This is one reason adult assessment must look beyond outward appearance and childhood stereotypes.

+5 years

Women with ADHD are often diagnosed later than men. Years of compensation can make the underlying pattern harder to see without a detailed developmental history.

2–6×

Gender-diverse adults are over-represented among autistic and ADHD populations. Assessment should be affirming and attentive to overlapping identity, masking, and access barriers.

One integrated pathway

Our integrated approach considers masking, sensory differences, executive function, and the ways one neurotype can hide the other.

A deliberate choice

Why No Online Multiple-Choice Questionnaire?

We do not rely on a public online multiple-choice questionnaire as the first step. Your experience is more complex than a checklist. The process begins with a conversation, followed by structured assessment tools completed privately as part of the clinical pathway.

Optional Follow-Up

After Your Report

Recommendations are individualized and discussed with you directly. While follow-up is encouraged with your own primary care practitioner, therapist, or coach, we will provide guidance on how to get started.
